Impact

Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success. JA works within Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain and Geauga Counties connecting corporate and community volunteers to classrooms to provide financial literacy, career-readiness and entrepreneurship education in grades K-12.

From the board of directors to staff members to teachers, volunteers and donors, the JA community is filled with passionate and dedicated professionals committed to delivering our world-class, relevant economic education programs to the young people we serve. Our programs develop life skills, encourage hope and inspire success.

JA is seeking a team-oriented individual interested in our mission, and in a program career within JA that begins with a focus on financial literacy programming and event management of JA Stock Market Challenge.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Lead JA Stock Market Challenge program, including recruitment of volunteers to deliver JA Take Stock in Your Future program to high school students, and running at least two annual competitions.
· Create financial literacy programming for young adults (typically ages 18-25) to promote financial wellness.
· Strengthen partnerships with high school educators and administrators to retain current Stock Market Challenge partners.
· Strengthen current and develop new partnerships with banking institutions and other organizations in the community to recruit volunteers for programs and identify opportunities to deliver JA programs.
· Work with area school districts interested in using JA’s full-semester financial literacy program curriculum to help them meet the State of Ohio’s financial literacy mandate.

Qualifications (required)

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
· Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
· Demonstrated passion for youth development, especially in financial literacy.
· Experience in running successful events, with experience in running student events preferred.
